Fraternity Integration During the Civil Rights Era
Join the Elimination of Prejudice Foundation on Wednesday, February 16 at 5 pm to hear Dr. John Leeke and David Temple share their stories integrating Fraternity systems with Pi Lambda Phi during the Civil Rights Era.
Dr. John Leeke
Dr. Leeke has over fifty years of professional experience as a classroom teacher, guidance counselor, program manager in instruction and human relations, and consultant too many diverse organizations. His practice assists clients in effectively participating and managing their diverse work forces. Activities include assessment and diagnosis, strategic planning, awareness workshops, team building, leadership development, mentoring and executive coaching. He is a graduate of Indiana State University.
David Temple
Mr. Temple has held various leadership roles in education and government policy. He has been recognized with the silver medal U.S. States Department of Commerce for Leadership in Workforce Development Skills, Vice President Al Gore’s Hammer Award for Excellence in Government Reinvention, District of Columbia Distinguished Public Service Award, Friend of Mental Award from Mental Health Association of Northern Virginia, University of Virginia Outstanding Alumnus Award, Jeannie P. Baliles Award for Leadership and Excellence in Virginia Literacy Leadership, E.L. Paterrson Education Award, and Pi Lambda Phi’s Big Pi Award. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia.
